ABOUT US

The Eddie Kidd Foundation  was founded in 2007 by Nick Sherard, a friend of Eddies for over 18 years.  With Eddie's blessing the foundation was born.  Nick's vision was  to specifically support the treatment and rehabilitation of stunt performers, extreme sportsmen & women & motorcyclists who find themselves in the same unfortunate position as Eddie did after an accident.  Often the injuries are severe and leave patients with costly medical bills and stressful recovery which effects the whole family.   These times are pivotol moments in ones life and can cause tragic consequences for all including those close to the victim.  The NHS can only help so far but all too often patients need that little extra help & sometimes a lot of help.  Alternative choices, hope and a true understanding of their ailments is something the foundation will strive to achieve for their beneficiaries.             

Eddie hasn’t given up and believes he will walk again even though he has been told that he never will.  We have decided that this will be our motto…'never give up’ following in Eddie’s footsteps and make sure that no one feels like that they have been put out to pasture and left as a number and another statistic.  We will where possible help rebuild their lives and hopefully whoever they maybe will let them know that they will always have friends and more importantly strive to provide the much needed help.. 

 The Foundation  is in its infancy stage & currently applying for full charitable status.  We are getting close to the financial target a charity is required before they can apply, so please keep your donations coming.

What We Intend To Do The Foundation will seek to forge relationships with the related industry organisations and gain their support and professional expertise in combining support programmes for our beneficiaries.  Provide funds to assist both for short & long term with their treatment, rehabilitation and any assistance which will generate additional funds to help individuals or a group of patients.  We will endeavour to assist every possible case.  Eddie will have an active role in using his experience to help others by generating funds for the foundation through charitable fund raising events appealing to his celebrity friends and fans from all over the world.
